KDX TrackerServ Version History
Version 1.110 (23 Feb 2004)
- Updated for Unicode and KDX 1.2.
- Minor bug fixes.
Version 1.100 (16 Nov 2003)
- Compatible with KDX Client and Server 1.1.
- Supports remote viewing of the statistics, using KDX Client.
- TrackerServ can now run on any port number. Use Settings to change.
- For simplicity, now uses the same port number for both TCP and UDP.
- The default port number has been changed to 10800 for both TCP and UDP. Previously it was 10699 for TCP, and 10698 for UDP.
- If you are upgrading from the previous version, your settings file will retain the old port number (10699). So you'll probably want to use the Settings command to switch it to the new default, 10800. You'll probably also need to update your router settings to map port 10800 for both TCP and UDP.
- When the tracker window is closed in the client, the client now remains connected, including with cached lists. The advantage here is that if the user wants to look at the tracker again, they still have all the previous information downloaded and cached, so your bandwidth usage is reduced.
- As before, the tracker automatically disconnects idle connections. However any lists that were downloaded remain cached in the client.
Version 1.010 (27 Sep 2003)
Version 1.000
- Added a Greeting feature which is the same as KDX Server. You can enable this using Settings.
- Misc bug fixes.
Version 0.909
- Updated to new protocol. Compatible with KDX Client 0.950.
Version 0.908
- The groups can now be changed remotely using KDX Client. Connect to your tracker, click the Window Menu, then click "TrackerServ Settings".
- Each group can now have a description.
- Trackers can now register with trackers. Yes, ten totally terrific trackers toiling together to track twenty titanium trackers!
- Servers are prevented from listing in a group whose name contains "tracker".
- Asks you to choose an administrator login and password when you first open TrackerServ.
- Record any errors to a text file in the same folder as KDX TrackerServ.
- Now remembers the location/size of the window.
Version 0.906
- Connections that have been idle for at least 20 minutes are now automatically disconnected. This solves a problem where MacOS failed to detect dead connections, which accumulated over time, wasting memory.
- Use the Window Menu or hit command-I / control-I to display some statistics in the log.
- Automatically hides itself when started.
Version 0.905
- Added "Games" and "Music" groups.
- Bug fixes.
Version 0.904
- Changed the default groups.
Version 0.903
Version 0.902
- For security, limit number of connections per IP address to 5.
- If a server specifies no valid groups, put it into group named "General" (instead of ignoring the server).
