![]() Haxial Bribes and Bounties SystemIs there a certain feature that you would like added to a Haxial product? Or something that you want done? You can bribe Haxial and/or Bounty Hunters into doing it. Obviously it is necessary for Haxial to get funding/money in order to pay the bills, employ people, and stay in business. The "Bribes" system is a fun and productive way of doing this. It is also a way of ensuring that Haxial is working on things that people really/truly want. On this webpage, a list of bribes (feature requests) is maintained with the total amount of money contributed for each. Whichever feature is at the top of the list (whichever has the most money contributed towards it) is given the highest priority, meaning that is what Haxial will work on next (unless it is contingent on some other features being implemented first). Then when the top feature is completed, it is removed from the list, and work commences on the next highest feature. Haxial will not work on implementing any feature/idea/suggestion/improvement unless it was in the bribes list and at the top. (However sometimes it is necessary to make an exception to this rule, for example prerequisite functionality.) Bounty Hunters are free to choose any item in the list to implement, but obviously they will be more attracted to the ones with a greater bounty/reward. Your requested feature can be implemented by Haxial or by a Bounty Hunter. A Bounty Hunter is a competent software engineer approved by Haxial to participate in this Bribes system. If a Bounty Hunter implements one of the features in the list, then they receive all the money contributed towards it as their reward/compensation for their work. Note you can ask for a feature to be added to the list without sending any money. If approved, the feature will be added with an amount initially at $0. Then other people might see the feature, like your idea, and put money towards it. Therefore you can participate in the bribes system even if you have no spare money, or even if you are a tightass! If you can only afford to put a small amount of money towards a feature (for example $10) it is still worthwhile because, as mentioned above, other people may see the idea in the list and like it and add to your contribution. Thus multiple strangers can pool their money towards the feature they want. Limited-Time Multiplier PromotionThe Bribes system has just been activated now. To view the list of bribes or to submit a bribe, click here: Details of OperationIf implementation of a feature has started and then it subsequently loses its position at the top, work on the feature is NOT ceased. The new top feature must wait until the current feature-in-progress is finished. It would be inefficient and impractical to start and stop work on features / chop and change between features. Bugs will be fixed without the need for a bribe. Normally money should not be sent for a bug fix. However, if you do send a bribe for a bug fix, it will be accepted because Haxial understands that sometimes a person or business wants or needs a bug to be fixed as quickly as possible, ahead of other bugs/issues. If you have reasonably good programming skills, and you see a bribe in the list that you want to program by yourself and then have Haxial give you the collected amount of money (as displayed), then you can if approved. You can become a Bounty Hunter. Note that low-quality, buggy, unreliable, messy, uncommented, or incomprehensible work is rejected. For more information, contact Haxial. Haxial can reject any bribe offer. Haxial may decide that it is inappropriate, impractical, excessively difficult, useless, frivolous, harmful, outside the area of software that Haxial is in, etc. The word "bribe" is used here only in good humor. It does NOT imply anything illegal. Furthermore, Haxial cannot guarantee that a feature/task/program/etc will be completed promptly or satisfactorily because unforeseen problems can and do sometimes arise during the implementation of a feature. For these reasons, this is NOT a contract, and it is NOT legally binding. You are doing nothing more than making a donation. If you have a question not answered here, you can contact Haxial.
